I’m an astrologer, and I talk about eclipses as periods of change. And they are usually transformative.
I know that can sound a lot like scaremongering — especially when you see astrology content predicting break-ups, losses, endings and people being ‘eclipsed out’ of your life. But Astrology is a guide to the inner changes….
When I say an eclipse can bring change, I don’t mean I can predict exactly what will happen to you, such as your favourite co-worker will leave work, etc.
I mean that eclipses can be wildcards that demand your attention — an identity you’ve outgrown, a relationship that no longer works, a career that now feels small, or a part of yourself that wants to develop.
And sometimes that change is external. Sometimes you are the one making the change!
The important thing is that nothing is fated.
Astrology can give you a language for understanding the periods of your life that are subject to change. What you do with that information is where your free will comes in.

Cancer: This eclipse lands in your 2nd house of money, income, values and self-worth. You may be ready to rethink how you make money, what you charge, or what you actually value enough to invest your time and energy into. Jupiter brings an expansive quality here, so there could be an opportunity to grow your income, you might land a great new freelancing gig or get a raise – but the deeper question is whether the way you earn and spend money actually reflects your own sense of self-worth. Leo: This has YOUR name on it. A Solar Eclipse in your 1st house marks a significant moment for identity, confidence, appearance and the way you move through the world. With Jupiter also in your sign, there is a huge emphasis on growth and taking action! You don’t necessarily need to know exactly where you are going yet — but something in you knows that you cannot keep being who you have been. This is a fresh start for you- the first eclipse in its series. So this will transformation will unfold over the coming 18-24 months.
Virgo: This eclipse takes place in your 12th house, so the changes may initially be less visible to other people.
