Capricorn Horoscope – September 2026
The month starts with Mars moving through Cancer, your 7th house of relationships, partnerships and significant one-to-one connections and it’ll be square to your Ruler Saturn in the 4th house of home. Mars can bring hot arguments and being in the sign of family, you will feel a challenge in this area. It is as if home life is restricting you in some way, and these frustrations can surface. Alternatively, Saturn can suppress emotion and anger and could leave you feeling weighed down and pessimistic about your relationships in business or love.
The good side of this transit however is for motivating other people or finding a fighter in someone else who sticks up or champions you.
You may find yourself taking a more active role in your relationships or becoming more aware of what you’re willing to take responsibility for within a relationship – and what isn’t actually yours to carry.
For Capricorn, responsibility can be a complicated subject. You are often very capable of holding things together, but that doesn’t mean you should always be the person shouldering everything.
Saturn all month, will be in a trine with Jupiter in your 8th house. This is more positive and can bring about good fortune into the home from someone you have a love or business relationship with where finances are shared. You might be learning something meaningful from another who broadens your perspective, or you encounter a money-making opportunity that utilises another’s resources. If you want a loan for study or your home improvements, you will have luck in getting it agreed in September.
September 10- Venus enters Scorpio, your 11th house of friendships, groups, networks and future aspirations. Venus brings a lighter energy into your social world and you may reconnect with friends, enjoy spending more time with people who make you feel understood, or find yourself drawn towards a new group or community.
Also on the 10th, Mercury enters Libra, your 10th house of career, reputation and public identity.
Your thoughts turn towards your professional life. You may have important conversations about work, be thinking about your reputation or trying to work out what your next professional move should be.
Mercury here is good for planning and negotiating, but it can also make you think more carefully about your reputation at work. You’ll likely be meeting people who’ll have an effect on your future at work. It’s a good time to get a mentor, for example, someone to talk to you more broadly about thor experiences and where you want to go.
September 10- Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini, your 6th house of work, routines and everyday life.
Uranus has been changing your relationship with work and your daily routines since last year. Perhaps your responsibilities have become less predictable, or you’re realising that your life and work doesn’t give you enough freedom. I know one rising Capricorn who’s campaigning for a 4-day working week. This is very much a revolutionary Uranus style move! and I personally wish the Government would hurry up and recognise how much more productive and better off the economy will be if they can offer a genuine work life balance back to people.
As Uranus turns retrograde, you may be fighting for your freedom again, setting up a side hustle, or taking on a flexible working pattern to address the lack of freedom in your current setup.
If you have natal planets between 1° and 5°, Uranus will contact them as it moves backwards, so it’s worth checking this with an astrologer and reflecting on what is changing for you. The outer planets move slowly, but their effects become much more personal when they activate your natal planets.
September 11; New Moon in Virgo, your 9th house of beliefs, higher education, travel and the bigger picture.
This New Moon opens a new chapter in the way you understand your life. You may begin studying something, make plans to travel, develop a new spiritual or philosophical perspective, or simply realise that your worldview has changed.
The 9th house asks you to step back from the immediate problem and look at the bigger picture. And that is useful for Capricorn who is always thinking about climbing the ladder. You have a big career moment of visibility in October, so this is your inner exploratory phase.
Because the New Moon sextiles Mars in your 7th house, a relationship or partnership may play an important role in this change of perspective or you could be encouraged by those closest to you.
Someone could challenge your assumptions, encourage you to take a different path or simply show you that there is more than one way of doing things. You might be taking a course at this time, thinking differently, and being drawn into new conversations with others.
September 18- Chiron moves back into Taurus, your 5th house of creativity, pleasure, romance and self-expression.
Chiron returning here can bring an old wound around love, fun, dating or creativity.
Perhaps you’ve struggled to give yourself permission to enjoy life without feeling that you should be doing something more productive. You can feel guilty for not always enjoying time spent with children or your partner. You’ll want more girl time for example, and to factor in more joy.
September 23 – Sun enters Libra, your 10th house of career, reputation and public identity. Your professional life now becomes illuminated.
You may feel more visible or more aware of the direction your career is taking. Your ruling planet is currently retrograde in your 4th house of home, family, roots and emotional foundations and will oppose the Sun at the end of the month.
So while the Sun is illuminating your public life, Saturn is asking you to examine what is happening privately underneath it.
You may have spent years building a career, reputation or position in the world. But you’ll want to build a new foundation for yourself whilst managing the weight of the responsibilities at home.
Saturn is retrograde from July 26 until December 10, 2026, and during September it moves backwards through roughly 13° to 11° Aries. If you have natal planets at these degrees, they will become more active for you.
September 26 – Full Moon in Aries, your 4th house of home, family, roots and emotional foundations.
This is the big culmination of the month.
And for you, Capricorn, it is particularly important because the Full Moon falls in the same house where your ruling planet Saturn is currently retrograde.
Something around home, family or your emotional foundations may reach a turning point. There could be a decision about where you live, a family matter coming to a head, or a realisation about what you need in order to feel secure. But with Neptune conjunct the Full Moon, you may not know what you want from your home and living situation.
You may have an idealised idea of what a home or family should look like, perhaps scrolling rightmove for the perfect house in the perfect village (just me?) and this Full Moon could ask you to distinguish between that ideal and your actual home life needs.
The Full Moon also trines Mars in your 7th house. So relationships are part of this story. You may be speaking with a partner about where you’re going, and what you’re actually trying to create together. Or meeting someone motivational will spark a new idea for you to do with home.
September 28- Mars enters Leo, your 8th house of intimacy, shared finances and psychological transformation. Mars now moves into deeper territory and you may become more focused on shared money, debts, investments, intimacy or the emotional dynamics within a close relationship. This can bring things to the surface that you’ve been avoiding and if there is an uncomfortable conversation that needs to happen, you may find yourself ready to have it.
September 30- Mercury enters Scorpio, your 11th house of friendships, networks and future aspirations.
The month ends by shifting your thoughts towards the future. You may have a more honest conversation with a friend, rethink a long-term goal or start thinking about the kind of people you want around you as you move into the next chapter of your life. It’s great for moving in new circles and networking too.
Overall, your ruling planet is retrograde in Aries, asking you to reconsider the structures you’ve built around your home, family and emotional foundations. The New Moon in your 9th house asks you to step back and look at the bigger picture, while the Sun entering your 10th house brings your career and public identity into focus.
Then the Full Moon lands in your 4th house – directly activating the part of your chart where Saturn is doing its work. Something may become very clear about the foundations of your life. Perhaps a responsibility needs to be accepted, refreshing a commitment to someone or something, or perhaps your definition of security is changing- but something needs strengthening at home.
Good luck this month Capricorn, and I’ll see you in October!
