Libra Horoscope – September 2026

The month begins with Mars in Cancer moving through your 10th house of career, reputation, achievement and public identity.

You may be feeling more ambitious than usual, or more motivated to take action around your professional life. Mars can bring momentum, but it can also bring frustration. You may become increasingly aware of where you’re unhappy with your career or where you’re working harder than you want to be. Avoid clashes with the bosses, but what’s more is the surge of energy you’ll have for working on your career and reputation. People will see this force in you now and you can be really motivating and magnetic to those you work with or surround yourself with.

There could be more pressure or competition around work, but there is also an opportunity to act on something you’ve been thinking about for some time.

For much of the month your ruler Venus is squaring planet of power and doom Pluto. This gives you a bit of an edge, a new confidence, and the desire to confront or destroy and rebuild something in your life. You might feel this intensity the most with someone you’re dating or maybe your creativity needs an overhaul, and you want to start from scratch on something.

September 10 – Venus enters Scorpio, your 2nd house of money, income, possessions and self-worth.

This is one of the most important transits of the month for you, Libra, because Venus is your ruling planet and after this Mars in your career zone energy, you can have influence over your earnings as Venus entering your 2nd house brings your attention towards money, resources, values and what you believe you’re worth.

You may want to improve your financial situation, spend money on things that bring you joy, or become more conscious of where your money is actually going. There could also be developments around income or a financial arrangement with someone you partner with.

Mercury enters Libra – your 1st house of identity, self-expression and personal direction.

On the same day, Mercury enters your 1st house. This puts your thoughts and attention firmly back onto you.You may find yourself thinking more about how you’re presenting yourself, what you want, what you want to say and where you’re heading next.

You may be changing the way you speak about yourself – and that can change the way other people perceive you, too.

September 10 – Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini, your 9th house of beliefs, travel, higher education and your understanding of the wider world.

Uranus has been shaking up your beliefs and your perspective on life. You may have been questioning something you once accepted without thinking too deeply about it, or feeling drawn towards a completely different way of understanding the world.

If you have natal planets between 1° and 5°, Uranus will contact them as it moves backwards, so it’s always worth checking this with an astrologer. The outer planets move slowly and aren’t necessarily felt every day, but when they trigger your natal planets, the story becomes much more personal to you.

September 11;  New Moon in Virgo, your 12th house of the unconscious, endings and retreat. This New Moon happens in one of the quieter parts of your chart.

Rather than pushing yourself to begin something, you may feel a need to withdraw a little and deal with something.

The 12th house can bring attention to what happens behind the scenes such as your inner world, your dreams, your unconscious patterns and things you’re ready to leave behind.

Because the New Moon sextiles Mars in your 10th house, there is a connection between this private process and your career.

Something you are working through internally may actually help you move forward professionally. You might be working through a pattern that keeps you restricted at work, and Mars is bringing a dose of courage to act on what you want. The next new moon will appear in your first house where you have the opportunity to start something new that’s personal to you and your direction in the world. This month is about seeking your inner wisdom into what that direction may be. What skin can you shed at this time? Think of the things about you that no longer serve you and use this new moon to let it go.

September 14 – Venus will conjunct the Moon in Scorpio in your second house of money. It will also be square Pluto in your 5th house of love, fun, dating and creativity. Now is a time to value what you love, what you have built so far for yourself and to look at how far you’ve come. It could also be an intensely emotional time concerning someone you’re dating, or perhaps a child will need you more at this time. You’ll find it’s a day to wear your heart on your sleeve when confronting that which scares you.

September 23 – Sun enters Libra, your 1st house of identity, self-expression and personal direction. Happy Solar Return, Libra!

This is your season. The Sun entering your 1st house puts the spotlight firmly on you.

You may feel more visible, energised or ready to make decisions about where you’re heading. The only thing is hazy Neptune is opposite the Sun at this time, and so you can find you act either in a way where you feel special, maybe you’ve achieved something brilliant, or you find your identity has come a little wobbly, and you feel a bit unsure of yourself. Neptune is like a fog and can obscure things. You’re already a pretty indecisive sign and so don’t feel the need to make any big decisions at this time until the sun has passed Neptune’s way.

September 26; Full Moon in Aries, your 7th house of relationships, partnerships and one-to-ones. This is the big culmination of the month. The Full Moon in your 7th house brings relationships into focus.

Something in a partnership may reach a turning point, become clearer or require a decision.

This could be romantic, but the 7th house also includes close friendships, business partnerships and other significant one-to-one relationships.

With Neptune conjunct the Full Moon, you may not initially have the complete picture. You could be idealising someone, seeing something through rose-coloured glasses, or realising that a situation isn’t quite what you thought it was. It could spell the end of a relationship, perhaps you feel like you’ve lost someone. But the Full Moon also trines Mars in your 10th house, connecting relationships with your ambitions and public life. You’ll draw strength from work, and fight for what you want in your life, if this full moon does spell significant changes.

There may be an important question here around how much of yourself you’re willing to compromise for another person.

The Aries Full Moon reminds you that relationships require two individuals and you can’t always bend to another’s needs.

Overall, September is a month of identity, value and relationships for you, Libra.

Your ruling planet Venus enters your 2nd house on September 10, beginning a deeper examination of money, self-worth and what you genuinely value.

At the same time, Mercury enters your 1st house, turning your attention towards yourself and the way you communicate who you are.

The New Moon asks you to quietly let go of something behind the scenes, while Uranus continues to challenge your beliefs about life and the future.

Then the Full Moon in your 7th house brings relationships into focus with a culmination of some sort.

By the end of the month, Mercury enters Scorpio and returns the focus to your 2nd house asking what is valuable to me? But more on that next month. Good luck this month Libra, Happy Happy birthday to you, and I’ll see you in October!
