Virgo Horoscope — September 2026
This month has a New Moon with your name on it Virgo, but what is more, is that we have just had the final Pisces eclipse, at the end of August, which is part of the Virgo- Pisces eclipse cycle. The final Lunar eclipse in Virgo is happening 6 months from now, Feb 2027, and at that point, your life might be looking quite different since the September 18 2024 first lunar lunar eclipse in Pisces- the first in its series. What has happened since then? And how is the next 6 months looking for you?
You might feel like life has changed in direction somewhat. I think the most change has had to do with 10th house matters since a year ago when uranus entered Gemini- you might have changed direction at work, or got into a new relationship, or got married. You have evolved Virgo! And the future is exciting, if a little unpredictable with that 10th house Uranus!
The month starts with Mars moving through your 11th house of friendships, groups, networks, communities and future aspirations.
You may find yourself busy and determined about something you want to achieve in the near future. It might involve a group of people, a new social group or working on something you have longed for.
Mars can also make you more aware of where your friendships and ambitions aren’t quite aligned. You might realise that certain people, groups or situations are taking up energy without really moving you towards where you want to go. You might be inclined to sever a friendship or a group of people, so watch out for any rash actions there that can’t be undone.
September 10; Mercury, your ruling planet, changes signs and enters Libra – your 2nd house of money, income, possessions and self-worth.
Mercury is your chart ruler, so wherever Mercury goes, your attention tends to follow. This could bring practical financial matters to the forefront. You may be thinking about how you earn money, what you charge, what you’re spending, or how you want to manage your resources.
Mercury in Libra asks you to consider whether there is enough balance in the exchange. You might be pooling your resources together with your partner or looking for a way to increase your salary which can happen with Venus also in the 2nd house.
September 10; Uranus turns retrograde in Gemini, your 10th house of career, reputation and public identity. It will encourage you to revisit those themes of career identity, and personal evolution out in the wider world.
Uranus has been shaking up your professional life since last year, and its retrograde asks you to look again at the changes already underway. Does the path you’re on need tweaking?
You may question whether the career path you’re on gives you enough freedom, or whether your definition of success needs to change. I wouldn’t fret over your professional path as Uranus will be continuing his journey through this area of your life over the next 6 years! It won’t always feel so bumpy and unpredictable.
And there’s something particularly interesting here because Gemini is ruled by Mercury. So your career and your thinking are connected this month.
If you have natal planets between 1° and 5°, Uranus will contact them as it moves backwards, so it’s always worth checking this with an astrologer if you want to look at how it’s evolving. The outer planets move slowly and you won’t necessarily feel them every day, but when they trigger a natal planet, the story becomes much more personal to you and that’s where we find the context.
September 11 – New Moon in Virgo, in your 1st house of identity, self-expression and personal direction. This is your New Moon, Virgo. This is a powerful opportunity for a reset..
You may be thinking about how you want to present yourself, what you want to change, or simply what kind of person you want to be moving forward. You may literally be walking around having undergone some change in identity, such as becoming a new mum, home owner, entrepreneur, engaged, new job, new look, etc. I’m personally thinking of two of my Virgo friends as I write this. One lives across the pond in the US and is about to have a baby, and the other, my long time school friend has just got engaged. It’s certainly a month for a new you! If you are Virgo, let me know what’s changing for you.
Virgo can have a tendency to focus on what needs fixing, but this New Moon isn’t necessarily asking you to become a better version of yourself but to start wearing the clothes that represent who you’ve been evolving into.
And because the New Moon sextiles Mars in your 11th house, there is support for taking action towards your future. Something about the people you’re surrounding yourself with, the communities you’re part of or the goals you’re working towards could help you step into this new version of yourself.
On the 12th, there is a moon and Mercury conjunction in Libra that is opposite Neptune. You could be thinking or talking about your finances with your partner. Neptune can confuse details, or maybe you feel materially insecure for a little while. Or maybe your remuneration at work needs revisiting and you want to settle on a fairer pay. It’s likely these conversations will be aired so be honest about what you need. And this conversation might culminate at the Full moon in Aries later in the month…
September 18 – Chiron moves back into Taurus, your 9th house of beliefs, higher education, travel, publishing and your understanding of the world.
This brings you back to questions around what you believe and why you believe it. You may revisit an old wound around higher education, religion, spirituality, travel or your sense of place in the wider world.
September 23 – Sun enters Libra, your 2nd house of money, values and self-worth.
The Sun now joins Mercury in the part of your chart concerned with what you value and what you have to offer. This puts even more emphasis on money, resources and self-worth.
You may become more conscious of your financial situation or start thinking seriously about how you want to earn and spend money.
September 26 – Full Moon in Aries at 3 degrees, your 8th house of intimacy, shared finances, trust and psychological transformation.
The Full Moon in your 8th house can bring something to a head around shared resources, intimacy, dependency, trust or emotional vulnerability.
You may realise that something needs to change in the way you share yourself, your money, your time or your emotional energy with another person. Talks about merging assets will come to a head now and you’ll want it laid on the table. Or you may have a realisation about how much you need and what you’re willing to share in a relationship.
With Neptune conjunct the Full Moon, there could initially be some uncertainty about what you’re deciding on. But this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. Sometimes Neptune dissolves an old certainty or pattern.
The Full Moon also trines Mars in Cancer, connecting this emotional culmination back to your 11th house.
Something about your friendships, your support network or your future aspirations may help you understand what you’re ready to let go of.
September 28 – Mars enters Leo, your 12th house of the unconscious, endings and things happening behind the scenes.
Your energy now moves inward and you may need more solitude, more rest or more time away from other people’s demands.
Mars in the 12th can also bring buried anger, frustration or desires to the surface. Something you’ve been pushing down may become harder to ignore.
September 30 – Mercury enters Scorpio, your 3rd house of communication, learning and your immediate environment.
And this is where your ruling planet ends the month.
After spending September asking you to think about what you value, Mercury moves into Scorpio and takes you deeper. You may want to understand what’s really going on beneath the surface rather than accepting the obvious.
This is excellent for research, therapy, writing, investigation or having a conversation you’ve previously avoided.
And because Mercury has just spent the month moving through your 2nd house, you may now be finding the words for something you have been trying to understand about yourself. Get your journal out! Virgo’s have a talent for writing so if you have a project you want to explore, now would be a great time.
Overall, September is a month of redefining your value.
It begins with Mars asking you to think about the people around you and the future you’re working towards. Then your ruling planet, Mercury, enters your 2nd house and turns your attention towards money, values and self-worth.
The New Moon in your 1st house gives you an opportunity to redefine yourself and step out with a renewed sense of self, while Uranus retrograde in your 10th continues to question whether your career and public identity reflect who you’re becoming.
Then the Full Moon in your 8th house takes the story deeper, asking you to look at trust, intimacy and what you’re sharing with other people as you evolve together.
Good luck this month Virgo, and I’ll see you in October!
